12 oz. can. Poured clear golden with a white head. Aroma was light grass, earthy, sweet malt. Taste was light bitter, grassy, malty. zoucrew102 (1980) - - AUG 6, 2016
Can. Bready malt aroma with light floral hops and a slight amount of citrus. Pours clear golden colored with a thin white head that has poor retention and lacing. Starts with sweet bready and biscuity malt flavors with just a hint of citrus hiding in there as well. Finishes dry, crisp and clean with just a touch of mild hop bitterness. Refreshing, very drinkable brew. PorterPounder (8171) - Tallahassee, Florida, USA - DEC 8, 2015
Grand Junction, CO - College Liquors - 12 oz can. Slightly sparkling, medium golden pour, beady, snow white head. Slight nuttiness to the aroma, hints of grain, touch of wort. Flavor is true to style, heavy grain accents, some honey sweetness, baked bread goodness. Crisp, clean refreshing mouthfeel. ajnepple (6835) - Denver, Colorado, USA - OCT 15, 2015
12 oz single can from Applejack. Pale orange appearance with a lingering white head. Crisp, zesty, orange peel aroma with light bitterness and light acidity in the flavor. Light body with ample carbonation and a light dry finish. Refreshing. Not a Helles, but not bad overall.

Can. Head is initially small, fizzy/frothy, white, fully diminishing. Body is medium yellow. Aroma is lightly malty (grain), lightly hoppy (flowers), with notes of lemon/lime juice, apple juice. Flavor is lightly to moderately sweet, moderately acidic, lightly bitter. Finish is lightly sweet, moderately acidic, lightly to moderately bitter. Light to medium body, watery texture, fizzy carbonation.
Uhhh...what? Helles? You mean like...a sour Helles? So is that a thing now? Please, no. 3fourths (9351) - Boulder, Colorado, USA - JUN 14, 2015
Can. Unclear dull gold with a thin ring of a head. Aroma impression is apple butter, apple cider, cosmetics, chemicals, unclean honey, dead yeast, rotting banana, rubber, wort. Medium-light body, sweet and gritty and dirty and wort-like, under-carbonated and under-fermented. Wow, outright lousy beer. If you want people to dislike lager, or craft beer in general, serve them this gem. (1.5)

August 24th, 2012 - Copper Kettle is Aurora’s new city treasure. Like Dry Dock, the brewery is tucked away into an unassuming pocket of suburbia, and one I know well. Just down the street is where a familiar middle school used to stand before it was knocked down on charges of being riddled with asbestos and generally being one sneeze away from total collapse. Returning this part of town as an adult and making a left instead of a right to the brewery felt both familiar and new. But the relatively long drive was worth it. Copper Kettle’s beers were roundly impressive, and the flight of tasters I purchased began here, with their Bavarian Helles. It had a healthy glow in the summer light, with a nice halo of mottled foam around the edge of the glass, and the chilled haze that comes with the hells style. The smell is airy and effervescent, reminding me of a generic blonde ale, but with the addition of a touch of black pepper - grainy and savory. The mouthfeel is excellent, and engineered in a way that pairs superbly with the lighter carbonation, the touches of apple and the streak of wheat flavor running through the beer. daknole (11049) - Scottsdale, Arizona, USA - NOV 17, 2013
Cloudy gold pour, white head. Nice balance of yeasty/doughy malts and zesty hops. Light and refreshing but has a nice punch of flavor. brokensail (16609) - Dublin, California, USA - OCT 9, 2013
