August 24th, 2012 - Here’s the second beer in my long line of tasters from Copper Kettle, and it’s a wonderful folio up to the Bavarian Helles. The aroma is hard to detect, with a slight touch of cherry sweetness. I blame the short glass for giving away all the beer’s perfume. But the glassware can’t take away how their cherry wheat tastes, and it’s superb. The real fruity cherry flavor limns a light, malty, dark and bolder sweetness, but the star of the show, though it isn’t center stage, is that cherry glow. Unlike lots of fruity beers, the cherry here doesn’t taste artificial or candied, but more like something I’d shove into a cotton shopping bag after handing half my pay-check to a vendor at a good farmer’s market. The glass emptied quick, which means good flavors and a short aftertaste, but this is an encouraging second entry for beers further down the tasting line. cubs (10742) - Fort Collins, Colorado, USA - AUG 16, 2012
Tap @ brewery. Hazy pinkish peach appearance with an off white head. Dull cherry, lemon, bready, a touch yeasty but quite dull aroma. Light cherry, though almost absent, mild yeasty, a touch bready, light flavor. Not a whole lot going on, but not offensive. That1Guy (2241) - Colorado, USA - AUG 15, 2012
Part of a flight at the brewery. Hazy, dark yellow pour with not much head. My sister turned to me and asked what was wrong with the beer, and why couldn’t she taste much cherry. She learned what acetaldehyde tastes like. Bummer. I’ll give it another shot. notalush (5955) - Lakewood, Colorado, USA - AUG 12, 2012
Tap at CK - hazy gold with a pinkish hue - fairly dry, but with a somewhat chalky texture - earthy stone fruit bitterness - the cherry comes later, adding some sweetness, making the beer taste a bit like watered down, sweetened cherry juice - finish is dense yeastiness and wheat, muddying up the already muted flavors - kind of bland, really. arminjewell (9729) - East Lansing, Michigan, USA - AUG 10, 2012
Pour on tap, hazy orange-red with white head, aroma has notes of slight orange, cherry, slight wheat, vanilla, hints of fruity notes, finishing with a hint of earth. Taste is a mix of sweet fruit, some cherry skin, slight fruit, hints of wheat, vanilla, earth, finishing fairly sweet. Pretty muddled.

Hazy rusty golden colored with an aroma that’s pretty hard to pick out, but a very faint cherry tone is present, with little else. Flavor is light and crisp, with a sweet and mild cherry presence with a generic light malty sweetness throughout. A bit simplistic, but not particularly bad in any way. It’s the kind of beer you give the indecisive/timid girlfriend.
