Tap. Dark brown, near black with a thin tan head. Smells of chilies, toasted malt, and light chocolate. Flavor is hot peppers and chili with smooth chocolate and toasted malt. Less spicy than the original and a bit more sweet.
I had this on tap at the brewery in September. Pours near black with minimum head. Aroma of spicy peppers, dark malts, swimming pool. Big carbonation and mouthfeel. Flavors of poblano and other peppers, dark roasted malts, caramel, dark chocolate, light cola. Overall feeling and flavors of cascading peppers rolling down the throat with residual chocolate and dark malts. I liked this more than the regular which I find very tasty. onceblind (9419) - Denver, Colorado, USA - OCT 18, 2013
Black pour with no head. Nose has a pleasant play of cinnamon and cocoa with a hint of limey tequila. Flavor of the same. Dark roasty stout malts mixed with cinnamon, lime, a touch of light-tequila-infused-oak, light spiciness and light cocoa. Ends with a little peppery tingle and a kiss of tequila.
