On cask at Copper Kettle. Ruby red color, short creamy head, kind of hazy but hard to tell in the lighting. Smells fruity and malty. Taste was a nice caramel with a hint of fruit but not too bitter at all. Very nice for the style and the creamy mouthfeel is what probably sealed the deal for me. Would order this again easily.

Sampler at the brewery. Pours a thin off white head, over a clear amber (SRM 8) body.....nose is cereal , malts with light toffee/caramel.......taste is light toffee/caramel, bitter hops....mouth feel medium, carbonation high. Meeting the style, this is not quite as complex as hoped for, but an easy drinker, with nicely balanced aromas and flavors. Pour on tap at the brewery is clear orange with white head, aroma brought notes of slight caramel and grassy notes, slight spice as well with maybe a touch of crackery malts. Taste is fairly simple and a bit weak, hints of biscuit and cracker malts with a hint of richer sugars of caramel and toffee, slight grass and spice notes finish slightly bitter but more on the sweet side. cubs (10693) - Fort Collins, Colorado, USA - MAR 2, 2012
