OK aroma, but nothing special.. The beer is quite dark/ amber in appearance ( as promised on the label) with a pleasant overall look. Head disappeared immediately. An unpleasant bitter/astringent aftertaste, and low carbonation.. I will not buy this again

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
From bottle marked "Copperlake English Ale" in Jo’burg 12.03.15. Clear orange. Persistent off-white head. Fruity aroma, with hops, grains and some yeast. Refreshing and balanced taste, with moderate bitterness. Perhaps a but too fizzy for a bitter. Very quaffable!

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
UPDATED: APR 27, 2015 Aroma: Medium hops, fruity, grapefruit,
Appearance: Clear, copper body.Large, white, fluffy head. Good retention. Lacing
Flavour: Medium-high bitterness, medium-hops, fruity, grape fruit. Light astringency. Medium-light grassy. Dry finish, with lingering hops.
Mouthfeel: Medium body. Medium-high carbonation.
Overall: The beer is very hop forward. Although a good beer, a bit of maltiness will lift/balance out the beer. Astringency may be from over sparging.
440 ml bottle, poured. Thanks Brendan.
