Test vom 17.12.2007, Gebinde: Glasflasche Noten: 9,11,11,11,9,11 - 10,70

Dark ruby color, small off-white head. Pumpkin, caramel and cardboard in the nose. Similar flavor: caramel, grassy hops and pumpkin. Quite cardboardish.

330ml bottle, shared with Tranquility - thanks! More a schwartze or a dunkel than any other style. Jet black in our lighting conditions, with a small beige head. Smooth chocolatey aroma. Strong caramelly malt taste, both richly roasted and fairly burnt, but also a lighter maltiness too. Slightly winey, and some dark fruits, fleshy raisins or other berries. Some hints of juniper berries too. Very pleasant.

bhensonb (15342) - Woodland, California, USA - JUN 10, 2012
Bottle from Total Wine in Sacramento, CA. Pours dark ruddy copper/amber with a creamy beige head. Aroma is sort of spiced cola. Med minus body. Flavor is vanilla schwarzbier with cola and touches of chocolate and treacle. It’s quite astringent. Finishes just on the sweet side. Odd given the astringency. Babelfish translates Kürbiskernbier as Pumpkin beer. Never would have pulled that out of this beer.

HenrikSoegaard (14235) - Randers, DENMARK - OCT 29, 2010
Bottle. Creamy off-white good mostly lasting head. Red amber colour. Moderate malty and nice herbal aroma. Really good stuff here. Moderate bitter nice spicey flavor. Average moderate bitter finish. Some cardboard notes. Oily palate. Nice but strange.

crossovert (13080) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - DEC 29, 2013
Claims to be a "stout" its an amber ale, slight nuttiness, mostly metallic and sweet malt.
