Bottle:   Super foamy... uh oh.   Ashy, roasty, without much body.   Certainly bubbley, either
overcarbonated or on the way out.   Certainly dark in color, huge foamy beige head.   A bit too airy.
Some dark chocolate notes.   Kinda astringent tho.   Tiz OK.   Wished it had a bit more body and it
wasn’t so airy.   Yeah, more body, less airy and then it would be much better.   Thanks Bill! SudsMcDuff (8494) - .....Manchester United.........., Texas, USA - AUG 16, 2013

Just about black in color with a tan head. Roasted malt, ash, and licorice. Some hints of green apple, graham cracker sweetness, chocolate, and coffee. The flavor is a bit harsh. Bitter roasted malt and coffee, somewhat acidic, and some green apple. Ash, licorice, dark chocolate, and mild sweetness of graham cracker. Beerenberger (1605) - Fischer, Texas, USA - JUN 15, 2013
Aroma of burnt caramel with hints of roasted malts. Pours a deep black with a rapidly diminishing tan head and minimal lacing. The taste is roasted malts, with notes coffee. The middle and finish taste of grain. A bit watery in the finish, however, it has a full creamy mouthfeel. Moderate carbonation. Overall, rich taste up but rather watery finish.

Bottle. Black, with a tiny light brown head. Aroma of toffee, cocoa, and roasted malt. Taste is roasty and a little bitter; chocolate and coffee. Medium bodied and pretty much flat. Ok, though it’s thin for a stout and the flatness sucks. Not crazy about the smell either. On second thought, this isn’t very good at all. dfinney23 (3424) - Houston, Texas, USA - JUN 1, 2013
Bottle pours like sludge washed up on a Texas beach with no sign of head. Aroma is mostly coffee over chocolate and caramel. Rich chocolateyness really comes through in the taste. Easily the best beer from Beaumont. Okay, technically also the worst, but still... bu11zeye (13215) - Frisco (Dallas), Texas, USA - OCT 22, 2012
(Draught) Pours an opaque black body with a small tan head. Aroma of chocolate, caramel, toffee, graham cracker, and coffee. Flavor of coffee, roasted malt, caramel, and chocolate with a dry finish.
