On tap, RBWG 2010. Pours a clear dark brown body with a small wispy off-white head. Nice chocolaty and lactose nose with a little bourbon and oak. Great chocolate flavor, restrained bourbon and oak lets the lactose shine through really well. Some roastiness and light vanilla on the finish. Light to medium bodied with light carbonation. Great sessionable beer, especially for a barrel aged beer. juiceisloose (1543) - Windermere, Florida, USA - APR 11, 2010
Draft at redlight for RBWG. This one pours a dark chocolate brown color topped by a small, bubbly tan colored head that leaves random spots of lace on the glass. The aroma shows big chocolate notes, lactic cream, vanilla, and some sour mash bourbon. The flavor follows suit with the dark chocolate and lactic cream showing strong along with a good dose of vanilla, and a smooth subtle bourbon flavor. The bourbon seems to compliment the sweet vanilla and cream components well without adding any detracting heat. A touch thin in the body, but still smooth and quite easy to drink. Solid sweet stout with good flavors. Beerlando (3343) - Orlando, Florida, USA - APR 9, 2010
Draft at Redlight Redlight. The pour yields a translucent, dark cola to chocolate brown body with a small, swirly film of smooth, khaki colored foam at the head. Scattered micro spots of lacing mark the glass. The nose is very smooth and creamy, showing notes of lactic chocolate milk, big vanilla, caramel, and soft bourbon. There’s a touch of sour mash character in there, for sure. Flavors follow suit, again showing smooth chocolate and creamy lactose notes, hinting at some coffee and loaded with oaky vanilla. The bourbon is very subtle, never hot, allowing the sweet, lactic nature of the brew to shine through. A little thin in terms of body, the palate is smooth and pretty sessionable. Very solid brew. markwise (5450) - North of Tampa, Florida, USA - APR 4, 2010
