Tap at Cornerstone 28 Aug 13, like sucking on a cinnamon stick is the best way to put this.. so much spice punch that it dries your mouth out like eating flour or saltines, lots of cinnamon and nutmeg/allspice flavors but good coloration and looks good needs more balance. pours a clear brown red with an offwhite head. aroma of cinnamon, allspice, grahmcracker, corriander, toast. flavor is bread holiday spices. overall, body is a bit thin, too much doughy malts, and the spice composition was a bit muddled. good though. fiver29 (1036) - Cleveland, Ohio, USA - DEC 22, 2008
Sample at the brewpub. Pour is orange color with off white head that does not last. Aroma is a strong cinnamon sweetness. Has a medium mouthfeel. Flavor is cinnamon, ginger, alcohol, and finishes with a honey sweetness. Overall a very fine christmas ale. I liked it so much I took home a growler of it.
