There is a reason why a lime in the bottle is required whe serving this beer: it maskes the skunkiness of any of those clear bottles that are exposed to sunlight! Lots of fermented corn with a little bit of fermented 2 rowe barley and a little bit of hops makes this beer very unremarkable but remarkably marketted.

First time I’ve had it since I started rating. As a youngin it was my fave, but that’s when I thought a Heinie was a fancy beer. Didn’t have it on the beach, but rather at 6 am in the freezing cold after an all nighter tripping face. It was cold and corony. Hardly qualifies as beer though.

I’ve had worse, but Mexico should stick to burritos instead of beer.

This one sucks. And the lime does nothing for it.

Pee yellow body with lots of bubbles rising to a thin bubbly head. Smells sweet and cardboardy (yeah, i know, no such word). Bit of corn sweetness in the mouth upfront. Some oxidation, though light, in there as well. Not as bad as I thought it would be. Smooth and easy drinking, but completly unchallenging.

In my earlier days I had some corona while eating mass quantities of Mexican food in San Antonio. At this time it was ok. Good to quench the fire of the hot salsa. After drinking some decent beer though, this beer simply must be rated as poor. Watery, fizzy, no flavor, no taste, no color, not even much alcohol. What is the use.

With lime, this is a very refreshing beer. For the beach, pool or hot tailgate, I’ll take this over any of the American macros. It doesn’t have much flavor but its not supposed to. Never had it without lime or lemon and don’t ever plan to.

Corona is a poser/gringo beer. I prefer any Mexican beer that doesn’t require a lime.

A summer beer out by the pool. Must have a lime or it is undrinkable
