Wow! So many ratings; such a low average rating! It's not that bad. Fresh, clean grain aroma, with light hints of yeast. Small, frothy, white head with good lacing. Head is mostly diminishing, however. Body is clear and light; yellow. Reminiscent of a good Bavarian Pilsner, though not as complex. Nevertheless, imminently drinkable and refreshing; especially when accompanied by a wedge of lime. Sturgess (173) - Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA - DEC 1, 2002
I disklike this beer other than in hot temperatures with a lime or a lemon. It's overpriced in my opinion and it's very trendy. grant (842) - Colorado Springs, Colorado, USA - DEC 1, 2002
I used to like this stuff...until I tried it without the ubiquitous lime. Yuck! It tastes like dough with alum and MSG sprinkled on it. Overall a nonevent. Supaflyfresh99 (97) - E.Williston, New York, USA - NOV 30, 2002

UPDATED: MAY 15, 2009 It smells bad, I don’t know why it is so over rated. Why people pay so much for it is beyond me!

I had one of these again last night. No Lemon. Light golden colour with white head that is quick to go. Aroma is skunked. Watery flavour, light graininess, grass flavours. Palate is watery.
Since my first rating of corona, I have discovered that it was the lime that caused my serious aversion to the beer, not the beer itself. Without the lime, it goes down easily when cold and it really isn't that bad. Perdue46 (68) - USA - NOV 24, 2002
Definitely an overpriced and overrated beer. I put the lime in and turned it upside down and it starts spraying everywhere. what kind of a beer needs an instructional manual fraternie (1025) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - NOV 24, 2002
Congratulations, you win the fraternie award for the most overrated and overpriced beer in the entire world. Lumberjack99 (14) - Arizona, USA - NOV 24, 2002
Decent light beer without a lot of flavor. A good 'thirst quencher' beer. No head to speak of. Great if you want something on the very light side, but fans of darker beers will hate this. A good beer to go with seafood or Mexican food. Trappist (286) - Knoxville, Tennessee, USA - NOV 23, 2002
This is an okay beer if you are looking for something a little on the light side of things
