COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
CBC and our fellow islanders at Maui Brewing Co are bridging the distance from Hawaii to the mainland with big flavor, camaraderie, and generosity. This centennial, chinook, and nugget-stoked IPA, made floral with the addition of hibiscus flower, is the first of an annual series of collaborative beers benefiting local charities. This time around, a donation will be made to Beer for Boobs, a Susan G Komen 3-day team formed by San Diego company White Labs, who contributed the yeast for this brew. No matter which side of the Pacific you’re on, there’s no better reason to " Drink Pink!"

Pink color, big hibiscus note though out that is a bit overwhelming. Refreshingly light, which works better.

March 28, 2015. On tap at Monks American Bar.
Clear amber with a small off-white head. Aroma is floral, hibiscus, sweet malty and fruity. Taste is light sweet floral and biscuit, light to medium bitter with medium dry bitter finish. Light to medium bodied, average carbonation.

KKURO (11) - JAPAN - MAR 25, 2015
When I heard combination of hibiscus and IPA, I had only an unpleasant hunch. The showy fragrance of Centennal, the color as which you imagine the tropics of hibiscus and the taste are very pleasant.

Pours a rosy, orangy color with off white bubbly head that held well and faded into a thick collar, heavy wisps, great legs, and good lacing. Aroma is sweet/floral hibiscus, faint bready malt sweetness, floral and slightly earthy hops. Taste began heavy on the hibiscus, with that dual hop flavor behind that. I really enjoy this, so I guess I’m a big fan of hibiscus. Good body, low-med carb, and low hop bitterness. Not particularly great for an IPA, but immensely enjoyable.

GarageBrewer80 (527) - SWEDEN - FEB 26, 2015
Flaska från Bishop Örebro. Bärnstenfärgad, orange färg med medelmåttig vit skumkrona. Parfymig doft av blomster och ananas. Medellätt kropp. Söt smak av grapefrukt, ananas och passionsfrukt. Lite syrlig eftersmak. Tyvärr lite vattnig.

Bomber from notes. Light pink/gold with a tan head. Harsh hops and very floral. Floral and citrusy with a dry finish.

skmikeg (1826) - Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA - JAN 10, 2015
Pour pinkish amber with a one finger pinkish white head with decent lacing. Aroma is of floral hops, citrus tropical fruits, pine, and some light bready malts. Taste is about the same as the aroma. Has a medium body with a semi creamy mouthfeel and a semi bitter, slightly sour, slightly dry, medium finish. Overall, a interesting IPA that would be nice on a warm sunny beach.

crossovert (12911) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - DEC 29, 2014
Draft. Amber not quite pink. Its decent definite floral notes, still a west-coast tinged ipa with pine and citrus.
