On tap at the Alaskan. It poured an amber color with an off-white head. The aroma was of caramel, pine, hops and some florals. The taste was similar to the aroma with more caramel, pine, hops, florals with medium carbonation and a sweet aftertaste. Good stuff. Tap at Hair of the Dog, Phrom Phong. Poured a hazy light amber with a thin broken white head and some broken lace. The aroma is malt, orange citrus hop. The flavour is moderate bitter light sweet with a dry crisp fresh tart citrus yeasty hop bitter palate. Medium bodied with average carbonation. Tasted a little infected to be honest. Not as good as the earlier ratings might suggest. I suspect this one might have taken a while to get through customs. hman43 (1769) - Pinehurst, North Carolina, USA - AUG 13, 2017
It pours a golden orange with an off white head. There is moderate head retention. It is clear. The aromas are filled with stones fruits which remind me of peaches and apricots. There is a low level of mango. The flavors are loaded with peach and apricot. There is also a low level of caramel. There are low levels of tropical fruit. (Pineapple and Mango). It has a moderate feel to it with a moderate level of bitterness. Overall, this is loaded with stone fruit and some tropical fruit with a decent malt base. stevoj (5567) - Boise, Idaho, USA - AUG 9, 2017
Bottle from Total wine-Henderson. Pale golden, hazy, head fades to ring. Light smoky, earthy aroma. Taste adds some light tropical notes, stone fruit too. Malty, dirty, dank. Way too much going on here, yet really accessible. Dries out towards the finish, with some minor stickiness. Nice! dfearnley (2314) - Edmonton, Alberta, CANADA - JUL 26, 2017
About the only time I get to try cigar city brews is when they’re collaborations with brewers that come to Alberta. I’m looking forward to this one. Aroma is grapefruit, satsuma, some light grains, and tropical fruits. Taste is hoppy, orange, and grapefruit, honeydew, and pine. Quite refreshing. drjoeng (1380) - SINGAPORE - JUL 16, 2017
Poured out gold. 8SRM.
Nose is fresh pine, citrus with orange and grapefruit peel.
Mouthfeel is juicy and soapy. Palate has white bread, crackers. Good fruity body and mouthfeel suggesting orange juice with a grapefruit peel hoppy finish.
Finish is medium with a bittermelon and light resin.
