COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This golden colored ale is smooth, light in flavor, and still retains a slight crispness in its finish, very similar to a European-style pilsner. Our Coronado Golden is delicately hopped with Czechoslovakian Saaz hops, traditionally used in making the classic pilsner. It is our most popular beer at our restaurant and considered our gateway beer into the micro-brew world.

Tap at Eureka! Rating #83. Clear golden pour with a decent white head that left some nice lacing. Light hoppy aroma a little biscuity. Big hop flavor, real nice balance between bitter and the malts, nice beer. (1785)

At the brewery. Golden pour with crisp hop flavor and a clean finish. Easy to drink.

On tap at the brewpub. Nice grain profile gives this a lot more flavor than I was expecting. A touch of peppery herbs and spice. Nice gateway beer for these guys with a much bigger presence for a beer of this style.

Ungstrup (37284) - Citizen of the universe, DENMARK - NOV 15, 2010
Draft. A hazy golden beer with a lazing white head. The aroma has notes of malt and straw. The flavor is sweet with notes of malt and straw, leading to a lightly bitter finish. Goes down easily.

keepersj12 (3112) - Sicklerville, New Jersey, USA - AUG 25, 2010
Surprisingly boozy aroma from a crystal clear light amber. Not a lot of head with just a small layer towards the end of the glass. Citrus flavor and nicely bitter. Clean and crisp finish. Not bad.

Capa (3251) - Kitsap, Washington, USA - AUG 16, 2010
Clear golden with a thin white head. Aroma has slight grains and a little in the way of hops. Crisp flavor that washed brunch down quite well. Not a flavor powerhouse but clean and easy to drink. I enjoyed it.

Leighton (21083) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - JUN 28, 2010
Bottle. This was an interesting beer. Definitely Golden Ale in the aroma and the finish, but much of the flavor smacked of fruit beer. Poured a clear, yellow-gold with a minimal white head. Sweet, malty aroma with honey and citrus notes. Flavor is mildly sweet, and immediately I got notes of black raspberry, then some apricot and lemon, and just the faintest of hops to end things. Finish also included some honey and malty sweetness. Light to medium in body with average carbonation. Really a good beer. Very enjoyable.

DocLock (10647) - Lower Pottsgrove, Pennsylvania, USA - JUN 13, 2010
Bottle from Smith’s. Gold pour with white head. Nose is pale malt, mild honey-dipped apricot, hopcitrus. Tastes bready pale malty, semi-sweet, with a medium palate, and late fruit and hops.

juiceisloose (1473) - Windermere, Florida, USA - APR 16, 2010
Draft at the brewery. This one pours a mostly clear golden yellow color with a small, white head of foam that leaves thin lines of lace around the glass. The aroma shows notes of citrus fruit, floral and citrus hops, and a light toffee malt on the back end. Th flavor is straight forward showing the citrus fruit, oranges, and floral hop bitterness. The toffee malt balances things out well. Medium to light bodied with good carbonation. Easy drinking, but nothing too crazy in the flavor.

On tap at Coronado Brewing Co. Yellow color. Creamy corn flavor. Tight creamy white head. No bitterness. Easy to drink. Leans bland, but not bad.
