COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
It doesnt take a genius to kno w quality West Coast IPAs require a stupid amount of hops. A generous blend of Nugget hops and the four CsCascade, Centennial, Chinook and Columbusbrings forth a myriad of tropical fruit flavors and a brawny, persistent bitterness that makes for a highly intelligent brew.

Det hr var kraftig och fruktig ipa med toner av grapefrukt, rengrningsmedel och lakrits. Kroppen r stabil, men kanske lite oljig, och balansen finns dr ven om den inte imponerar.

sodakotakid (230) - Belle Fourche, South Dakota, USA - NOV 6, 2013
pours orange with an average white head. There is a strong floral flavor and surprisingly only a medium pine and citrus flavor. Kind of surprising for an Imperial IPA with a 90 IBU rating.

Whole Foods, Bowery 355ml ($4): Pours orange with an off-white head. Aroma is a lot of tropical fruit, grapefruit. Taste is bitter and a bit sweet with a gentle finish and a slight aftertaste that sticks around for quite a bit. Well-balanced and very flavorful. Great body.

UPDATED: DEC 20, 2013 650ml dark brown bottle with mermaid themed artwork, poured into a Spiegelau IPA glass. Pours a slightly hazy amber with a medium sized beige head, that when reduced leaves uneven lacing. Aroma of lemon peels, orange, grapefruit and pine. A juicy taste of orange, lemon, grapefruit with a hint of caramel. Bitter with a slight sweetness. Medium carbonation and body with a bitter-sweet finish. For a 8.5% Imperial IPA, this beer is surprisingly easy to drink. Overall a great beer, but quite expensive here in Sweden.

floral and sweet grapefruit with alcohol and broom straw in the aroma is also pretty much what you get in the flavor. some bitter harshness balanced in the middle with perhaps a little too much broom at the same time. touch of caramel slick? power i.p.a. formulated light on the pine.

Draft at the brewpub in Coronado. Pours a crystal clear, yellow amber color with a white head. Aroma is hoppy, tropical fruit, mango. Medium on the palate with soft, creamy carbonation. Flavor is sweet, malty, bready, light caramel, hoppy, grapefruit, pineapple, with a bittersweet, hoppy finish. Very drinkable.

cmonster (1000) - Portland, Oregon, USA - OCT 19, 2013
Bottle served in a tulip. Pours deep copper with a slight haze. Large pillowy head with excellent retention and lace. Aromatic toffee / cereal malt and floral hopped nose. Light sweet, heavy cereal malt attack, followed closely by a dry, sustained bitterness. Medium-plus body, soft carbonation, thick texture. Solid IPA.
