COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
It doesnt take a genius to kno w quality West Coast IPAs require a stupid amount of hops. A generous blend of Nugget hops and the four CsCascade, Centennial, Chinook and Columbusbrings forth a myriad of tropical fruit flavors and a brawny, persistent bitterness that makes for a highly intelligent brew.

Bottle. Pours a clear amber color with almost no head on it. Nose isnt all that powerful, I find. Little bit of hoppiness in there, but not much. Taste has some hoppy bitterness to it, but its balanced fairly well. Good brew.

Light caramel pour. Aroma of pine hops and tangerines, very appetizing. Excellent citrus flavor, sweet on the front with a lot of cascade hops on the back side. Well done ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Dark golden with a foamy white head that disappears quickly. Aroma is pretty strong of pine and citrus. Medium body with lots of pine, some resinous fruity hops. Pretty solid beer.

650ml bomber pours a golden orange color with a 2 finger head that retains well and leaves some lovely lacing on the side of the glass. Aroma is citrus and floral with some other light fruits. Taste is a citrusy grapefruit bitterness with some hints of tropical fruits and an underlying malty sweetness. Very well balanced and not too over the top with the bitterness. Highly recommended.

Type: 22-oz. bottle Glass: Karl Strauss pint glass From: Village Square Liquor & Keg Price: $7.49 Misc.: Got a California Prop 65 Warning: Some materials used in the colored decorations on this container contain cadmium, a chemical known to the State of California to cause birth defects or other reproductive harm. Poured an orange, caramel and slightly hazy with two fingers of frothy white head, which took a long while to disappear. Thick, foamy, wet and sporadic lacing on the sides. Nice retention on the top all the way down. Smelled a potent whiff of citrus and floral hops. Got orange and actually reminded me of an orange creamsicle. A whiff of tropical flavors. Sugary sweet floral hops. Very appealing overall. Tasted similar to the nose, but not quite as potent (or good). Im bad at naming specific types of hops. The bottle says Cascade, Centennial, Chinook and Columbus. I recognize all but Chinook, but Columbus seems to be the one I taste here. Also citrus (orange and light tangerine) and still some light tropical notes (reminded me of tropical bubble gum). Very bitter on the tongue after. Light-to-medium body. Creamy texture. Average-to-lively (above average) carbonation. Bitter finish. Just a good double IPA overall. I havent been a fan over the other Coronado beer Ive tried, so I was excited to have a good one. Would definitely have this again.

Light copper pour with an off white head that leaves a nice lacing. Balanced aroma of sweet malt and strong pine/resin/citrus aroma. Flavor is very similar, very well balanced mix of bitter hops and sweet sticky caramel malt. Medium body, the alcohol is well hidden. This beer earns a seat at the big boy IPA table.
