Nice hoppy aroma that lingers on the tongue. I was able to enjoy multiple servings cale422 (28) - Timmonsville, South Carolina, USA - JUN 10, 2008
Great brew scene in San Diego on my visit. An excellent example of a higher alcohol IPA great citrus hop nose and perfect crispness on the finish. I could drink this brew all day long. maxwelldeux (4374) - Snohomish, Washington, USA - FEB 13, 2013
Bottle. Pours a mostly clear dark golden color with a rather small head. Nose has some amazing elements of citrus and floral elements. Taste has some bitterness to it, but not overly so. It feels light and crisp. Good taste. Yayita (49) - - MAY 19, 2015
Wonderful IPA. My only (slight) criticism is undercarbonation. This is the only beer I have tasted that is well served by the label so in honor of a well crafted product I copy it "... a liquid expression of hometown pride. Centennial, Chinook and Columbus hops combine to provide an explosive burst of piney bitterness and luscious notes of apricot, grapefruit and mango..." Thanks for the nice brew guys. Cheers! Beaucoup de douceur et de fruité, un équilibre remarquable, jamais trop sèche ni amère, une explosion d’arômes et de flaveurs.
Le top du top, on est pas loin de mon IPA préférée !

Slowly I have been getting into IPAs. I never really like them. I feel most beer brewers just add a crap load of hops for the bitter hell of it. Few take to the time to balance the brew. Islander IPA, to me, is very well balanced. Nice and bitter with a super supportive malt backing. Very clean pour with a well built creamy tan head. The smell is very nice. Lots of warm suger, orange, lemon, grass, and pine. Bitter and very rewarding going in leading to a smooth and dry finish. some sweetness with the bitterness. I found no sourness. Lacing is wonderfull. The whole glass is layered in a coating on bubbles.
I used to grab one of these while making a sixpack. Now I just get six packs of this.
Really enjoyable and SUPER drinkable. DanielBrown (4527) - Birmingham (via Leicester), West Midlands, ENGLAND - NOV 19, 2011
UPDATED: NOV 25, 2011 Bottle from Stirchley Wines. Smells great, like a lush meadow. Taste is beautiful, no other word fits. Sweet, piney, resiny, oily, great balance. Wowee. Stefano (2021) - Thisted, DENMARK - JUL 12, 2013
UPDATED: JAN 22, 2014 Golden coloured beer with a huge white head. Aroma is lots of fresh hops, and some grass. Taste is dominated by lots of hops, fruit and some citrus notes. Heavy palate. krumbum (1109) - truckee, California, USA - JUL 31, 2013
A cloudy gold color. Smells like fresh hops broken in front of you. Nice slight bitter taste with very floral fruity hops. The malt balances it perfectly. Great Body to the sip.
