3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Poured this beer from the bottle into a pint glass to drink. The beer had a semi-cloudy straw and amber color with a good-sized foamy white head with average lacing and cling and low retention. It had a sour citrus and floral hops aroma with some pine notes and lighter touches of fruit, grain, and spice. Its taste had a good bitter grain and citrus blend along with some lighter fruit and sour flavors. The body of the beer had good fizz and life with above-average carbonation, and was a touch dry with an average thickness and mouthfeel.

Aroma: Malty, biscuits.
Appearance: Clear dark golden. Medium, white head.
Taste: Medium sweet, malty, biscuits, light spicy, medium bitter, light perfumy hops.
Palate: Medium-full body. Light bitter finish.
Overall: Malty IPA. Could be more hoppy.
Out of a bottle. Smell is a cooking biscuit, nice and toasty with hops in there and a slice of pine. Caramel accent. Taste is also toasted, cookie and mild. Not a lot of good until the palate hits and then it's a mild bitterness. Nice foam and lacing in the bottle if that counts nihtila (3912) - Edinburgh, SCOTLAND - SEP 20, 2017
Bottle from Safeway, SF. Clear golden. Nose is floral, pine, grass, apricot, mango. Tastes grapefruit, citrus, bitter, grass. IslandHaole (1299) - Misawa, JAPAN - SEP 16, 2017
Medium golden with a creamy head. Citrusy hops with hints of over ripe papaya.
Seems light bodied for a 7% ABV beer. Crisp, light carbonation. The malts don't quite balance out the hops, lingering bitterness. Fair but nothing special. Heidbummer (881) - SCOTLAND - SEP 12, 2017
Keg, Brewdog Shepherds Bush. It's just not quite right. A promising big pine and bitter first mouthful, and citrus/pine aroma, but both taste and smell have metallic, rubbery notes after a while which I could not get rid of.

Altanian (1) - - SEP 3, 2017 does not count
Perfect with Sloppy Joe's! Burgers! Fries! Steak!. Nice and smooth, hoppy and easy on the palate!

Keg at brewdog Edinburgh. Pours golden, nose is floral, orange, taste is sweet, grassy, citrus. Scopey (15704) - Croydon, Greater London, ENGLAND - AUG 12, 2017
Keg at BD Castlegate. It pours clear golden - amber with a small white head. The aroma is soft, sweet, stone fruits, apricot, nectarine, peach, marmalade and bread. The taste is dry, bitter, resinous, apricot, peach, metallic tang, bread, cereal, wood and a touch of alcohol with a drying finish. Medium body and fine carbonation. More of an old school US IPA. Tap at brewdog Camden. Pours an opaque golden, white head, good lacing. Nose is sweet pine, grapefruit. Taste is upfront tropical fruits, feeding into a mild to medium bitterness. Great balance.
