Bottled. 33cl sample. The aroma has roast, strong coffee, bit chocolate. some (dried) fruity tones. Black coloured beer with a medium, beige head. The taste is light bitter, bit sweet, quite roasted (which adds some bitterness), has coffee. Dry finish. Very good beer. Enjoy every sip of it. Really underrated.

Bottle. Pours black with a medium brown foam subsiding to a rim. Scent is medium light notes of porter and toasted malt, hints of lactose. Taste is nice mature porter with light notes of lactose and finish with about 30 IBU. Very good.

Noire Porter 35 IBU Lot 1601. Zwart bier met wandklevend beige/bruin schuim met rotsen. Geur: koffie, wat kruidig, een weinig chocolade. Smaak: koffie, groene hop, licht bitter. Weinig volmondig en toch wat romig. Goede koolzuurprikkel. Afdronk: licht bitter.

I bought this beer at Paris, in the cave à bulles, in Paris"nice place but expensive". I drank this beer at home in Lausanne. The body is nice for the eyes, deep black like a "forêt noire". The foam is creamy white and brown. The taste in general is good, generous hop, small touch of peppermint, roasted malt but there is one side watery and I think a lack of malt, even though it is a decent porter in a light version.
