Vrlo slabi okus i 'posljeokus'

Copenhagen 10/2 2018. 75 cl bottle from Meny. Comes in a big metalbox filled with hay and wrapped in paper. The symbol of the Priory of Corsendonk printed directly on the bottle even though it today is rebuilt as a hotel. The version I am drinking has an ABV of 6,5. Pours slightly hazy, dark brown with red hue and big dense off-white head. Settles as 0,5 cm thick layer of dense foam. Moderate lacing. Aroma is strong and sweet with a bitter undercurrent. Caramel, brown sugar, light roastiness, unripe berries providing lightly acidic bitterness. Medium carbonation providing prickly mouthfeel. Surprisingly thin palate. Flavor is nicely balanced. Medium sweetness followed by medium bitterness. Aftertaste is bitter with hints of nuts and caramel. Pretty light and not too sweet Dubbel.

Ok øl men mangler noget bund ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
