3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Pours dark amber in color, with a generous, but quickly collapsing tan head. Nose is fruity, bready, yeasty. This is reflected on the tongue. Dry, crisp finish. Nice belgian, but not a great one.
From Optimus Beer. After dinner, in Roquetas de Mar. In shaker glass. Overcarbonated. Very smooth in the palate, velvety. Very drinkable but flat. Some caramel with a neutral ending bitterness that keep some interest in it surething_ii (372) - Šenkvice, SLOVAK REPUBLIC - JUL 12, 2017
Aroma: strong alcohol
Look: clear amber
Taste: unlike other Belgians, this one is rather uninteresting
Overall: you won’t miss anything if you miss it redders1974 (1472) - Greater Manchester, ENGLAND - JUN 29, 2017
Apperance of aged copper huge bubbly head that settles down ok. Unmistakable belgium yeast plenty of spice in thr hop so so. DraftDodger (1526) - Copenhagen, DENMARK - JUN 17, 2017
Copenhagen 17/6 2017. 75 cl bottle in big metal container. A cross a coin and obscure writing to give the impression that the Crusaders was drinking this Ale as they conquered heathen nations with a vengeance. Pours clear orangeish amber with big white head. Settles as 1 cm thick layer of foam. No lacing. Aroma is intense. Caramel, moldy basement, spicy Belgian yeast with hints of Banana. Medium carbonation and medium thick palate. Flavor is surprisingly thin. Medium sweet on the verge of being sugary. Very light on the bitterness. I wonder how the crusaders could keep up the bloodshed drinking this rather thin sweet ale. Then again the sweetness is probably good for the Blood Sugar. Werthergoethe (351) - Moscow, RUSSIA - MAY 31, 2017

Bottle of 33cl, in a Tulip glass; from the fridge.
We are in front of a beautiful copper-colour beer, with a fuzzy white head. The aroma is kinda subtle, with notes of yeast and malt.
The taste is smooth, not to sweet or bitter, with malt and yeast notes as well. beer-yum (1710) - Wellington, NEW ZEALAND - MAY 5, 2017
Interesting aroma in an amber copper pour. Laid back hop malt balance is a little fruity and a little dry while the finish is easily missed. Definitely different - in an interestingly Belgian way. Iznogud (3805) - CROATIA - APR 20, 2017
Bottle, 330 ml, courtesy of and shared with JFK10000. Pours dark orange, white head. Perfumy, caramel, malty, yeasty, dried fruit, sweet. Medium bodied. schavuitje (266) - APELDOORN, NETHERLANDS - MAR 25, 2017
corsendonk komt vaak met degelijke belgische ales zo ook deze ; het vleugje bitterzoet wordt vergezeld door een forse slok zuur die na galmt in de mond
niet mijn eerste keus wel eens lekker voor de afwisseling
