This was poured into a mug. The appearance was a dark brown with some red hues along the sides of the glass. Slight runny lace. The aroma had some roasted malt, light sweet and roasty nuts. Coffee beans and grounds with a dark chocolate came out as it warmed. The flavor leaned towards the roast and developed a nice rich dark chocolate in the aftertaste. Finish was basically the same. The feel was about medium bodied with a fair sessionability about it. Good carbonation with the ABV feeling appropriate. Overall, pretty good stout worthy of having again.

Clear dark brown with reddish highlights. Not much head or lacing. Roasted malt, nuts, coffee in nose. Dominated by coffee, rich, gritty heavy palate. Decent.

Pitch black pour with a quickly dissipating head. Oily mouthfeel, tremendous amount of coffee/espresso in the nose and flavor, roasted/toasty malt, bitter coffee. If you like cold coffee then this is for you.

Bottle provided to me by a friend who lives pretty close to the brewery. Poured a dark brown, almost black color with a medium-small off-white head. Aroma was coffee notes with some roasted malt character. Not too thick, perhaps mouthfeel was a bit weak, but still okay. Flavor was like milk chocolate with plenty of bitter, cold coffee notes.

22 ounce bottle thanks to UDBeernut. Mild coffee flavor. Slightly metallic nose. Subtle bitter chocolate.

Bomber, thanks jcwattsrugger. Perfectly black with a thin tan head. A nose of fresh coffee and peanut butter. There is also some nice milk chocolate. I get lots of the bright coffee and some prunes. There is also blueberry fruitiness. Milk chocolate hides behind the bif coffee flavors. Tasty and one of the better coffee beers I have tried.

Barb brought back a growler to work of this over a year ago. Pours very dark and thin. Big aroma of coffee and roast. Some chocolate in teh flavor but mostly coffee and some roasted malts. Thinner body than expected. Some bitterness at the end..

Bottle. Pours a deep, dark brown black. Opaque. Lots of nice roasted coffee in the nose, very up-front. Taste is pretty similar with a bit of a mocha taste. Kinda nutty. Taste is kinda weak, doesn’t hold up to the standard set by the nose.

Bottle. Near black with a brown head. Coffee, milk chocolate sweetness, and roasted malts. Good dose of chocolate sweetness in the finish.
