22 oz. bottle, sent from Glouglouburp (thanks Dany), pours a deep dark ruby red with a small beige head. Aroma of bourbon barrels, dark dried fruits, especially dates and prunes, brown sugar, and some slight nail polish scents. Flavour is dominated by prunes, plums and dates / figs; the bourbon barrels are not overly prominent, but there is some noticeable heat from the booze. Quite fruity from the prunes ,with a relatively low complexity considering the style. Still, a nice warming sipper jtclockwork (17284) - , New Jersey, USA - APR 25, 2012

2013-08-16. Crisp mahogany brown body with a modest tan head. 3++ Aroma is sweet with sugary malt character, notes of raisins and caramel. 7+ Flavour is sweetly malty, mild bourbon in the background. Sort of an English character to the malt. Smooth average plus bodied palate. 3+ Enjoyable but the base beer comes off as overly simple, which means that there is not a lot going on besides malt and bourbon despite a fairly restrained bourbon character.Bottle At Campground Brewdown. mabel (9787) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - SEP 14, 2014
