Bottle shared by Blipp at tasting at my house. Pours dark brown with tan head. Nose and taste of dark fruit, sweet malt, caramel, toffee and sugary grain. Medium body. Well balanced. brokensail (16432) - Dublin, California, USA - DEC 4, 2012
Dark copper colored pour with an off-white head. Strange tartness on the nose. A bit of toffee and cardboard, some toasted bread, and very mild dark fruit notes. Flavor is sweet and malty with toffee, bread, and toast notes. Some fruit, a light floral hop quality, and a bit of cardboard. Mildly boozy, too. Not much of a fan of this one. Pouring at TAPNY. Pours a clear ruby amber with a thin white head. Sweet malt, caramel, toast, and warm toffee. Oxidized and sweet. Long sweet finish. Probably should have done the bourbon version second as this was good but didn’t hold up after the bourbon treatment. blipp (9139) - La Mesa, California, USA - NOV 14, 2012

My personal #1900 rating. 22oz bottle. Poured a solid clear copper color with a very small white head. Aroma is a bit of grain, with a creamy, smooth. Flavor is rich malts, creamy notes. Alcohol is hidden very well, but I got a bit of burn on the tongue. A very good brew and look forward to checking out their other brews in the future.
