IPA descends from the late 18th century when beer was exported from London to India. Typical of India Pale Ale, this ale is bold, assertive, and full of flavor. It has a medium to dry finish and a citrus overtone.

Nov. 16, 2012; 22 oz. "bomber." Cloudy, copper pour. Delicate lacing. Doughy, caramel aroma. Sticky sweet. Full-bodied. Nicely balanced; hop edge is rounded-off a bit by the malt. Very good - especially for a local product.

Poured into a pint glass from a 16oz tallboy can. 3.25 A: Murky copper amber color. Two fingers of frothy beige head. Retention is a touch below average and a short ring of lacing is left. 3.0 S: Hops are primarily grassy and earthy, but theres some piney and citrus in there as well. Overall though, the hops are underwhelming. Yeasty breadiness with some toastiness and a touch of caramel. Pretty average. 2.75 T: Hops are again underwhelming. Very mild bitterness and not a lot of flavor as well. What is there spans across grassy, earthy, piney, and nondeScript citrus with no real focus. Lots of yeasty breadiness, but clean for the most part. Toastiness accompanies a light fruitiness with some peach and pear. The taste isnt bad. Its more an issue of comparing this to competing IPAs. This one doesnt measure up. 3.0 M: Medium body than comes off a bit watery. Good moderate carbonation. Lacking creaminess but overall good enough. 2.5 D: Again, its a decent beer, but well below average, especially in the IPA world. ★ 1,054 characters DavoleBomb, Nov 07, 2015

16oz can poured into a sam adams glass. Hazy golden orange pour with a white head and tons of lacing leftover. Closer to an English style IPA the hops were a more subtle variety than my preferred west coast brews but still pretty tasty. More pine than citrus along with some biscuit notes.

Burnt orange pour with semi creamy khaki head. Lemon, soap, pine, cantaloupe, bitter orange peel. The malt backbone is semi sweet, but the hops are pretty bitter. Decent overall.

From bottle, courtesy of FiL. Sweet caramel and light fruity hop aroma, lightly oxidized. Hazy golden amber with foamy thin lacing head. Medium body with heavy carbonation. Starts moderately sweet with some caramel and fruit apple note. Light citrus hops character. Light acidity, bit of alcohol, and some light bitter astringency. Finish is light fruity with mild hop bitterness. After is mild tart after with lingering bitterness, but overall not harsh. A little cider in there, a bit odd.

Bottle share from bob. Thanks bob! Nice dark gold color. Bob says good head. Hazy. Fruity. Fruity yeasty palate. Light on the hops. Decent. Heavy apricot flavor dominates taste. This one grew on me. Bumping it.

Draft at tap room. Hoppy smell. Really taste pine and citrus hops. Best of the beers I sampled.

Bottle. A hazed amber with a thick bubbly head. Aroma is floral piney hops with citrusy and biscuit notes. The flavor has some nice grapefruit and pine upfront with nice biscuitty malt. Slight bitterness and dry finish. Medium bodied.

UPDATED: APR 20, 2014 22 oz Bomber. The beer pours to a hazy orange, brownish color with a thick off white head. The aroma has caramel, earthy, bread & some pine. The taste is medium in body with a malt forward taste with a mild bitter finish. overall not my favorite flavor profile in an IPA but an OK beer.

Pours a nice golden color with light head leaving moderate lacing. Aroma of hops, grapefruit and citrus. Starts a little bitter but finishes very smooth leaving a hint of hops in the aftertsate.
