Cask at Swan, Farnborough. Grassy, hay aroma. Chestnut. Fluffy but blotchy off-white head. Initially a vague sweetness but bitterness creeps in and then takes over. A malty undertow and as I drink more the sweetness reappears into the finish. More than light bodied, but still watery. Light carbonation. Abrupt finish. Better than average average bitter, more to it than twigs. john44 (3048) - SW London, Greater London, ENGLAND - JAN 28, 2017
Bottle. Copper/Brown in colour; reddish against light. Malty; lots of nuts, caramel, toasty/roasty malts. Fruity; hints of dried fruits. Hoppy; grassy hops. Good malt/hop balance. Sweet malty nutty with a dry hoppy finish. Enjoyed this. Very drinkable. Nice beer! (2011-12-23)
