Very dark copper-red, transparent beer with a foamy head and lots of bubbles sticking to the glass. Coffee pure chocolate smell with hints of malt and cardamom, very nice. The palate is a bit disappointing as I don’t get the richness in the smell back there. Taste is watery, bitter-sour. Well balanced. Nice ale! Dedollewaitor (16393) - Odense, DENMARK - APR 14, 2010
Bottle @ London. Thanks to Sønder. Pours deep dark amber with a small creamy bubbly white head and lacings. Nose and taste is fruit and buiscuit, and a thick layer of caramel malt and floral hops. As the beer warms the yeast becomes more dominating. Very smooth . Dry end. jonas (8042) - Garching b. München, GERMANY - APR 6, 2010

Bottle. Pours a dirty medium brown with reddish tint on the edges. Nice slighly rockie head. Fades slowly leaving a little lacing. Wonderul sweet aromas of malt. Slightly toasted and just a little nutty. Flavours show plenty of sweet malt once again with some toast, nuts and also some caramel. Hops come in near the finish to give a nicely bitter end. Balance seems to be about perfect. Really enjoyed this one, goozen (4145) - Leiden, NETHERLANDS - JAN 9, 2010

Hazy amber, fine, creamy, off-white head. Aroma has caramel, some doughy malts, flowery hops, light liqourice. Medium, prickly carbonation, fair mouthfeel. Flavour is a bit bland, some caramel, light hoppiness. Flowery, piney and slightly medicinal. Long, lingering bitterness, though. And a fine, slight nuttiness appears that takes it above average.
Bottle. Tawny amber with a good persisiting off white slick. Earthy leaf matter aroma with toffee, orange and sick bowl hints. Creamy fig, caramel, bite of cake. Malty and slick with layers of malt loaf and cocoa coming through. Gary (2066) - London( born and raised), Greater London, ENGLAND - OCT 17, 2009
