A tribute beer to owls, slightly thin but pleasant caramel and other tastes. Slightly sweet and bitter finish.

500ml bottle from a garage in deepest Worcestershire. A deep amber brown beer with a whitish head. Malty aroma, and a taste of orange fruit and malt.

Cask in the Kings Head W2. Brand new barrel, dunno if it was perfectly conditioned. Brownish beer, thick white head. Prickly hop bitterness, surprised a bit. Malts all tasted a bit muddled to me. A bit disappointing, I’ve enjoyed Cotleigh beers in the past.

Cask; deep chestnut brown, large thick creamy head; a very smooth beer; predominantly malty, some caramel, a hint of chocolate; moderately bitter with some nice English hops providing balance; unshowy but eminently drinkable; proof that a mid strength brown beer can be excellent.

erickok (6037) - Leuven, BELGIUM - OCT 3, 2013
Brown bodied, small head. Nutty, punchy yeast, bready and biscuit malts. Bit woody. Light and clean. Taste is on the same pace, light bodied, mild in alcohol and not overly rich. Drinks well enough but nothing special. (50cl bottle from trade with Benzai)
