An amber coloured premium strength bitter which gains its characteristic bitterness from Australian grown Pride of Ringwood hops. The nose is delicate and lemony and the flavour is full with a hint of spice.

Playhouse Spoons, Colchester. Light haze on this amber beer, little cream coloured head. Palate is light with fine carbonation. Semi dry. Sweetish malts, some banana ester underneath. The hops are semi sweet with peach and tangerine with a touch of spice. Interesting and satisfying.

Cask at The Moon Under Water (JDW), Watford on 5 Nov 2012. Poured a very hazy amber, with a scummy white head. Aroma of flat malt, boiled sweets and apples. Malty flavour, some caramel and a small amount of pine hop. Finish was moderate hop resin, grain and dried fruit.

Cask in The Rising Sun, Berkhamsted. Colour is pale amber, thin bubbly white head. Nose is cereal grain, cut grass, light caramel. Taste is cereal grain, cut grass, caramel, but with something tangy which tastes a bit like tree sap.

Cask by handpump at The Hengler’s Circus, Glasgow - amber ale, slight haze, creamy off-white head, very mild sweet malty aroma, creamy toffiness with slight flowery dry hopped finish

DruncanVeasey (8260) - Nr NUNEATON, Warwickshire, ENGLAND - NOV 14, 2012
Cask handpull, The Felix (JDW), Nuneaton, 13/11/12. Slim-lidded, slightly misted bronze. Oddly dank aniseed aroma with toffee. The not-especially-enticing dankness continues on the palate which softens into more pleasant cream and digestive biscuit. Cannot believe the hops are Aussie.
