Malty, slightly burnt aroma. Light beige creamy head sat on a dark brown still body. Hints of burnt malt with chocolate a sweeter back of dark sugar. Medium body, dry, slightly cloying. Decent enough.

Bottle 33cl. poured into a pint. Clear amberbrown, good creamy beige head, half-way lasting, good lacing; aroma toasted malts, caramel, dark fruits, plums, some treacle, licorice; mild taste, light heavy to medium sweet and bitter, light tones of toasted malts, toffee, raisins; malty sweetbitter aftertaste, bit earthy; light to medium body, watery to oily texture, soft carbonation; overall a pleasant mild brown ale, not a stronge ale.

33cl bbMAR17, cheerio idiosynkrasie for this post-Xmas UK cheer 2016-1. - English Stronge Ale and Xmas beer @5%...got to love that British sessioning standard and pint culture. - Smells and tastes like a Belgian Dubbel without any yeast character, sometimes a good thing: fragrant amber/brown speciality malts (light toffee, plum jam), thin chocolate milk. Lovely hedgerow hop profile in flavour, toasted malts have a polished furniture taste to them. Drinks as if quality ingredients have been too gently dosed and locked away under a layer of varnish - who’s reinbeer is going to get merry of that?

3.2
StueyD (1582) - Heacham, Norfolk, ENGLAND - DEC 24, 2015
A dark reddish brown coloured beer with a weak white head. A light roasted malt aroma, nutty, caramel and a touch smoky. Dry mouthfeel. The taste starts off with a dry malt flavour, nutty and smoky, then a sweeter element comes through with caramel and red fruits. The finish is lengthy and dry. Cask @ The Windmill, Stansted airport. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Cask at Penderels Oak at 4.5%. "Reinbeer"... seriously? Dark brown, orange hue, opaque, dense creamy head with thick lacing. Aroma is bready, airy. Body is medium, smooth, soft carbonation. Taste is thin, tangy, apple core, browned apple flesh. Resin, pepper and bread crusts in the finish. Soft bitterness endures. Just OK. It grew on me.

Rune (12609) - Tromsø, NORWAY - DEC 8, 2015
Half pint, cask at William Wilberforce (JDW). Good lacing from a filmy layer. Deep mahogany coloured body. Mid-sweet brown malty aroma. caramel and nuts to the taste character, fruity notes towards a roasted ending. Just alright (Hull 26.11.2015).

Fra cask på William Wilberforce Hull 26 Nov 15. Mørk amber / svart. Lavt tett skum med litt farge. Litt lacing. Svakt karamellisk aroma. Smaken mørke plommer med litt metallisk preg.

[email protected] Keys JDW, London (30/11/2015) - pours dark brown with a off-white head. Aroma and taste is sweet malty, lots of caramel and toffeish sweetness, cocoa, sweet malty finish, pretty decent Jule/winter number.
