In short: A lame fruity-caramelized golden ale of some kind. Meh.Lowenbrau (4798) - Asturias, SPAIN - SEP 7, 2013
How: Bottle at El Lupulo Feroz, Oviedo.
The look: Cloudy golden body topped by a very small white head.
In long: Nose is fruity (hops and esters) over some band-aids, an uninviting aroma. Body has a soft juicy texture, a carbonation that is a bit too relaxed, the mouthfeel is somewhat lifeless. Taste is worse than boring, this is slightly problematic. Bread crumbs dipped in fruit juice, caramel, sensation of breakfast apple juice, some tangerines, a mild acidity, some band-aids. Very disappointing considering how much I loved their regular Cotoya Original a few days before. I need to buy more beers like this if I want to keep my promise to cut down to three beers per day.
UPDATED: JAN 14, 2014 330ml bottle @Cimmeria, Oviedo. Malty, some caramel and grassy aromas. Pours hazy dark gold, with little vanishing off white head, poor lacing. Medium body, some oily in texture, average carbonation. Taste is sweet, caramel, malty, grassy, some fruity notes. Quite bitter aftertaste.
