Draft @ Boathouse in Mystic CT while waiting for AAA tow on Streetsie’s wedding day. Lol. This beer’s a lifesaver. Pours dark ruby red, cinnamon colored head. Wet earthy hops abound. No harsh aftertaste. Kind of dank.

Appearance: pours with a very large dark beige head, the beer is a hazy amber color, nice head retention
Aroma: caramel malt, nuts, Coca-Cola
Taste: bitterness throughout, the malt comes thru as a very subdued caramel note, alcohol,
Palate: average carbonation, bitter aftertaste, light to medium mouthfeel
Overall: the aroma is a decent sweet forward smell which threw me off when I tasted it, the taste is hop forward with the malt in the background, good beer

Bottle. Pours a ear copper body under a frothy beige head that left some sticky lace. The nose is more husky and crystal malt than hops, which is never a good sign for an IPA in my book. The flavor is much the same, this is overly sweet and malt forward with just a light bitterness and lacking in hop flavor. Lingering husky and sweet maltiness. Light to medium bodied, a little sticky, soft fizzy carbonation. Meh, not my kind of IPA. joejames (510) - Jacobus, Pennsylvania, USA - MAR 31, 2015
Bottle to shaker glass. Pours hazy orange/amber, two finger off white head. Some lacing but good retention. Aroma of spruce and caramel. Taste is moderately bitter, slightly sweet. Light bodied, moderate carbonation, slick mouth feel. Finishes moderately bitter. Tasting notes of caramel, pine, herbs and grass. Middle of the road IPA but drinkable. Bottle, orange pour, white head, nose is hoppy, taste is hoppy, citrus, bitter, grapefruit Narnad (1521) - Crystal Lake, Illinois, USA - NOV 2, 2014
Pours a hazy copper/brown color with almost no head. Aroma has a caramel nose with a ton of earthy bitterness. The flavor has clashing characteristics. One one side it wants to be extra hoppy but on the other is has a strong minerally and caramel malt presence. Both of these characteristic make a pretty rough IPA. Body is modest with a very low amount of carbonation. Overall I am not a fan at all of this beer.
