Chriso Rock The Roof Down pre-GBBF shindig. Amber colour with small slightly off-white head, that leaves quite good lace. Aroma is quite bready and bisquity along with some slight caramel and mild floral hoppyness. Flavour is being quite much the same. Something between a bit sweet and rather bready. Ends with a mild toffeeish touch.
Bottle courtesy of Adam, Pince of Mogadishu, thank you sir. Bright, hazy golden amber color, tiny white edge head. Aroma of lightly burnt toast, caramel. Taste starts with sweet caramel then a bitter finish. Pretty plain. harrisoni (18579) - Ashford, Kent, ENGLAND - AUG 26, 2010
Bottle at ChrisO "I’m Trying to see the Stool" pre GBBF2010 tasting. Haze brown. Bit diacetyl. Awful aroma and made it difficult for me to drink the rest of it. jtclockwork (16602) - , New Jersey, USA - JUN 5, 2014

UPDATED: AUG 13, 2010 Bottle. Beer of the Month club. Clear amber color with a medium white head. Piney-citrusy hop aroma, with biscuity malt, caramel and cookie notes. Flavor has sweet malt upfront, caramel, toasty notes and light graininess, and finishes more bitter and hoppy. Medium-bodied. Decent. Tmoney99 (14501) - Cincinnati, Ohio, USA - AUG 24, 2012
Bottle. Poured a dark copper color with an average to large frothy off-white head that was mostly lasting and had excellent lacing. Good balanced malt and hop aroma. Medium body with smooth texture and soft carbonation. Moderate balanced smooth flavor with a medium balanced finish of moderate duration. Good brew.

Nice sharp grapefruit hops aroma translates superbly into the taste. Not sure why northwest hops should be used in a beer named ’olde yankee,’ but i’m definitely not complaining about the results. the bitterness stays on the palate and follows through in the aftertaste. Beautiful coppery beer with good head. Lubiere (13915) - Ottawa, Ontario, CANADA - MAR 5, 2009
