COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This Tart Saison is brewed in the Belgian tradition of tart farmhouse ales. The magic happens when our house blend of Brettanomyces, Lactobacillus and Saison yeast throw an out-of-this-world party in our fermenters. Aged on passion fruit, this yields a beer with a lacto forward nose, an intensely tart fruit flavor, a doughy complexity, and takes the word "refreshing" to a whole new level.

In mouth, a superb tart ground cherries with loads of passion fruit, light Brett, light lactic notes, lingering acidity, beautiful tropical offerings. On tap at Mission st bbq, Santa Cruz.

Slightly cloudy pale straw colored beer with a thin crackling white head that disappears immediately. Funky-sour nose of guava, mango, rice wine vinegar, and lemon curd. Flavor is bracingly sour with preserved lemon, white vinegar, and citric acid followed by a subtle fruitiness. Good beer if you like aggressive sourness.

appearance: pale hazy gold, short creamy white head quickly vanishing. aroma: musty, acidic, slightly tropical, muddled fruit, cardboard. taste: as the aroma indicates, slightly sour and tart. finish: lingering weird musty fruit note, palate felt watery. notes: I love a good tart saison, but this one just didn’t work for me. Draft at Victoria Gastro Pub in Gaithersburg, Maryland.

Panel w Carpe Kraft.

750ml bottle. Pale golden colour. Fleeting head. Lactic, yoghurty aroma. Tart and bracing taste. Pulpy passion fruit notes somewhere within. Enjoyable although a bit acidic for me.
