Tap at CYO. Pours a pitch black with a finger of foam that lingers. Oaky nose with deep, charred cacao nib and bourbon aromas as it warms. Light and kind of thin-bodied. Thin mouthfeel, but slightly skim-milky with vanilla and light cocoa powder. Warming finish, but a quick finish. Chudwick (3240) - Taylor Mill, Kentucky, USA - OCT 22, 2016
UPDATED: OCT 23, 2016 Taster at Jarfly - nose is vanilla, wood and bourbon. Sip adds the porter coffee chocolate malt. Hides the ABV very well. Oddly light for the style. shrubber85 (11460) - Greenville, Indiana, USA - AUG 28, 2016
Draft. Bourbon, chocolate malt, and hay aroma. Dark brown with moderate head. Moderately sweet chocolate malt, and moderately bitter hay/orange peel flavor. Nice body. Nice - strong bourbon presence. alexsdad06 (10486) - West Chester, Ohio, USA - AUG 21, 2016
Draft to taster from notes. Pours dark brown to black in color with a thin beige head. The aroma and flavor have quite a bit of bourbon that almost hides the other flavors until it warms. I finally got some chocolate and dark malts, vanilla, earthy bitterness and wood, lots of bourbon. I liked the rum better. rondphoto (4468) - Lakeside Park, Kentucky, USA - OCT 6, 2014
on tap @ Party Town / Florence KY --- Opaque dark brown, tan rim head, bands of lace. Taste is thick malt and bourbon syrup that move through the palate, adding dark fruit cake fruit, turning slightly bitter in a short finish. Okay, it is big enough to be an Imperial, but it is very heavy, and dwells in the land of syrup for far too long.

Draft. Black with small tan head. Aroma of strong roasted malts, vanilla, and a hint of chocolate. Medium body with chocolate notes, some alcohol warmth in the middle, and roasted coffee finish. jcr (2719) - Jasper, Indiana, USA - JUN 15, 2013
Draft. Deep brown body with a beige head. Aroma of roasted malts, coffee and cream, chocolate, vanilla and a hint of bourbon. The flavor is moderately to heavily sweet and lightly bitter. It finishes moderately sweet and lightly to moderately bitter. Medium body, watery texture, lively carbonation. Nice bourbon, wood flavors because they aren’t overpowering. The malts are clean, but this porter was way too sweet for my taste. DrSilverworm (9671) - Cincinnati, Ohio, USA - MAY 28, 2013
Taster at the brewpub. Dark brown / black color, mostly clear. No head or lace. Very light warmth, light spice, some wood. Light toastiness, some dark chocolate. Bigger body. Good light chewiness. Lighter carbonation. More dry finish. Light dark fruit. Moderate bitter, mild sweet, very light alcohol bitein the finish. Solid barrel aged imperial porter. Draft. Poured a clear dark brown color with a small frothy tan head that mostly diminished with little lacing. Moderate to heavy toasted chocolate malt, vanilla and bourbon wood aroma. Medium to full body with a smooth texture and flat carbonation. Medium to heavy toasted chocolate bourbon sweet flavor with a medium to heavy sweet finish of moderate to long duration. Solid complex brew. AndyW68 (1557) - Louisville, Kentucky, USA - FEB 28, 2013
Not bad, but not for me. Might try again since I tasted this after a Founders KBS. That is really not fair. Dark brown with a red tint. Tries to be a stout. To sweet and musty. Not for me.
