Draft multiple times around Owensboro. Pours a deep brown to black with a half-finger of foam. Some light smoke and roasted malt notes on the nose. Faint jalapeno notes on the palate, with deep roasted cacao and more smokiness. Finish is light with some cacao and tingling heat. djd07 (15704) - Houston, Texas, USA - OCT 29, 2016
On tap at Great Flood Brewing. Pours a cloudy copper with small off white head that lasts. The aroma is strong jalapenos and roast. Medium body, cocoa, roast, strong heat in finish, good. ehaak26 (726) - - SEP 18, 2016
On tap at some bar. Pour was dark brown, nearly black with very little head. Aroma was jalapeno. Spicy and pleasant overall. JStax (7242) - Devola/Marietta, Ohio, USA - NOV 7, 2015
Draft sample at the source. The beer is a darker brown with a beige head of foam. The aroma has a nice smoky quality to it that lends to the jalapeño well. The taste has a moderate spicy heat to it, but also carries the smoke well. Thicker body with lower carbonation. bubblehouse (1556) - louisville, Kentucky, USA - OCT 9, 2015
Taste a lot like jalapeno. Definitely not meant to be subtle. Good aroma. Liked it quite a bit.

2oz sample. Strong jalapeño on the nose. Taste is all earthy smoke and dirt. Needs a bite from the jalapeno. Somewhat watery mouthfeel. Easy pass. Suttree (6521) - Knoxville, Tennessee, USA - OCT 20, 2014
Sampled at 2014 Knoxville Brewer’s Jam. Black, thin white head. Smells like, well, smoked jalapeno mixed with coffee. Taste is peppery coffee, and a little bit of smoke. Nice mix of flavors, Very enjoyable... tectactoe (3125) - Michigan, USA - OCT 20, 2014
Tap: Deep, rich mahogany color with a frisky beige color that lasts for the entirety of the brew. Aroma is jalapeño all the way; seriously, it’s like sniffing a real jalapeño pepper. Hint of smoke, peated malt, & roast underneath the peppery goodness. Flavor of smoked jalapeños with a big-time charred, ashy skin aspect. Hand of roasted malt hold the pepper profile upwards with a light woodsy & peaty essence flowing in towards the finish with only the lightest kiss of subtle sweetness. Lingering pepper heat in the throat, growing with each sip. I wish the "smoked" aspect of the beer was equally as prominent as the pepper, but this one was nice. Hazy brown orange with off white head. Aroma is pure jalapeño. Taste is strong creamy jalapeños. Good beer. Not for me.
