Draft to taster at Ei8ht Ball. Pours a clear golden color with a large fluffy white head. The aroma and flavor have floral and citrus hops, somewhat soapy, herbal notes, mild bitterness, no sign of the abv, I generally look for a bit more pop in an imperial Ipa, drinks more like a regular IPA. Draft. Poured hazy copper color with an average frothy off-white head that was mostly lasting with excellent lacing. Medium to heavy complex citrus and earthy resin hop aroma. Medium to full body with a slick texture and soft carbonation. Medium to heavy bittersweet flavor with a medium to heavy bittersweet finish of moderate to long duration. This is a solid beer. Draft to taster - nose is almost non existent. Sip adds berries?, citrus and orange peel. Easy to drink and the ABV is very well hidden. Slight pine. Smooth. Nero55 (936) - Wisconsin, USA - APR 6, 2014
Draft. Light copper with medium white head. Light aroma of resinous and citrus hops with some caramel notes. Medium body with resinous hop bitterness upfront, some malt notes, and a resinous bitter finish. DrSilverworm (9671) - Cincinnati, Ohio, USA - MAR 18, 2014
~4oz taster on tap at the brewery. Medium to bigger body. Smooth, crisp, lighter carbonation. More dry finish. Piney, kind of spicy, lightly soapy aroma. Some yeasty flavor. More hazy orange golden color. Thin off-white head, leaves very nice, thicker splotches of lace. Moderate to bigger bitter taste. Kind of grapefruity, rindy aroma. Moderate sweet. Some alcohol bite at the finish. Solid DIPA, very assertive. Big sweetness maltiness too, though.

My second sample was a very nice IPA from Country Boy. While nothing special and perhaps a little too heavy for me to enjoy much more than five ounces I ordered it was worth trying once. By now the shine has probably gone but if you see another Country Boy handle don’t hesitate to order a pour.
Aroma / Appearance - The warm orange base has a heavy feel to it. The tropical body is capped with a couple of white caps. Mango, citrus, and tropical fruits are bright and airy. The sweet nature is held together with a dash of lemon pledge. Solid, but not great, it at least merits a closer inspection.
Flavor / Palate - Orange creamsicle, pine sap, and honey rinse the palate clean. The transition to a candylike finish is marked by waves of mango juice. This is good enough to finish but wasn’t so amazing that I felt compelled to order a full pint. Five ounces should be enough for anyone to make their own decision.
Enjoyed this beer a lot.nice and hoppy and very smooth to drink. Highly recommend. AndyW68 (1542) - Louisville, Kentucky, USA - SEP 13, 2013
Clear yellow gold with white head. Aroma is amazing sweet candu. Taste does not match aroma. Taste is sweet woth bitter back. Still very good. jinroh (1600) - ESTONIA - SEP 8, 2013
on tap at Nakameguro Taproom. I have never experienced this kind of aroma before - it is really herbal, almost grassy - but in the good way. Lot of pine esters that feel somewhat refreshing - what is unusual for a +9% beer. Taste is also very piney (shouldn’t really be a surprise as this is what the name suggests), with some citrus undertones. Feels more light-bodied as it actually is, aftertaste is strongly bitter and lingers along for some time. No food with this one, just a glass of water to clear your palate before the next sip! Med golden brown color. Frothy white head. Passion fruit and stone fruit in the nose with a big malty presence. The mouth is medium full body with lots of tangerines, a touch or durian and passion fruit. The beer is deceivably drinkable, though I prefer my IIPAs drier, this is respectively.
