UPDATED: OCT 5, 2017 It's just an average beer. Wholly average. It's a little too malty without much distinctiveness added to it. There are certainly better out there.

On tap at Hunah Day. Pours a clear copper with small beige head. The aroma is toasted malt, wood, vanilla bean. Medium body, bread, vanilla bean, caramel, roast finish, very good.

Clear dark brown. Nose is toasty and nutty with some light english hops. Flavor is pretty standard, sweet and nutty with a lingering slight huskiness. Medium bodied with soft fizzy carbonation. Pretty solid stuff.

Tap at J’s. Pours a copper brown with a finger of off-white, creamy foam that lingers. Light vanilla ice cream nose and cola. Smooth and light with a vanilla bean cola flavor on the palate. Sweet, but not cloying. Smooth and creamy finish.

Draft from the brewery in a shaker. Dark amber medium bodied. Malt and vanilla taste, finishes mildly bitter. Ordinary.

Draft at Two Keys. Aroma is a lot of vanilla with some malt as well. Taste is slightly sweet.

This draft brew from a beer bar poured a head of foamy finely sized off-white colored bubbles that were quickly diminishing and left behind a uncarbonated semi-transparent copper brown colored body and a fair lacing. The weak aroma was nutty. The crisp and clean mouth feel was tingly at the start and at the finish with a strong malty aftertaste. The nice flavor contained notes of nutty mild hops and brown malt. A decent one that I would consider drinking again.

Caramel brown. Frothy head. Moderate lace. Aroma is bitter malt. Flavor is caramel malt. Steady bite. A pretty good brown ale. Lots of vanilla flavor and not too sweet.

Draft to taster at Country Boy. Pours a clear copper brown color with a small off white head. The aroma and flavor have sweet malts, light roast, chocolate, vanilla, caramel, a mild nutty character, I liked this better than Amos Moses, anything to add to a basic brown.

2.5
DocJitsu (2025) - Pensacola, Florida, USA - DEC 26, 2015
Pours a red-amber with a light tan film on the top. The nose is faint. Some coffee and nuttiness. Medium body. Some red fruit, some caramel. Finishes quite nutty.
