500ml. A low boost gold with wheat used to decent value and effect , the wheat is there in a subtle undertone-making this more fun . Floral citrus hops , Apple ester, caramel malt sweetness . Sugary wheat malt too .This is a typical Gold that really needs to be from the cask to impress.

Bottle 50cl. Gelly remains of a white layer. Gelly texture. Golden color, a bit hazy. Aroma is apples, wheat, hint of citrus. Taste is some bitter, but balanced with fruits, grass.

500ml bottle, courtesy of Bill, hazy golden (due to bad pouring), weak malty aroma, good white head, good carbonation, pale malty flavour, easy to drink

UPDATED: JUL 3, 2016 Cask @ The New Inn, Clovelly. Full-bodied golden ale with a mild berry aroma and flavours that match this.

tombyars (1749) - Saltcoats, SCOTLAND - NOV 25, 2011
Tasted this at the Paisley Beer Festival in April 2001. Cask, gravity dispense. Clear pale amber with a loose white head. Floral hop notes in the short aroma. Thin resiny mouthfeel and poor lacing. Pale malts give a slight digestive biscuit note with sweet golden syrup flavours. Hop resins present in the dry bitter aftertaste. Finish is short and bitter sweet with orange peel notes. An ok session bitter but not that outstanding.
