Pours a black opaque colour with big light brown head that leaves some lace up the glass but after sitting and rising in temperature becomes a small ring around the glass.. Aromas of roasted rich malt, chocolate, coffee, alcohol. Flavours are rich malty profile, bitter/sweet chocolate, coffee, some fruity esters. Very smooth 10 percent beer.

jackl (8029) - Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA - DEC 27, 2012
Bottle from Total Wine, Naples. The pour’s deep brown with a massive tan head. The nose is chocolate syrup, some artificial sweetener, roasted malts, ash. The taste is toffee-dipped coffee, very sweet milk chocolate, light roasted malts. Syrupy thick palate. Oily. Not too hot. The ABV is well hidden. Overall, pretty decent. The slightly artificial sweetness holds this back a bit.
