Bottled, from Systembolaget. Pitch black, small head. Aroma of pear brandy and licorice. Sweetish with full body and grainy moithfeel. Notes of raisins, lots of licoric and salmiak. Almost sake-like aniseed finish. Nice!

Papsoe (25054) - Frederiksberg, DENMARK - JUN 3, 2012
Bottle 27,5 cl. Courtesy of maneliquour. Pours a clear dark brown with an orange hue and a small beige head. Phenollic aroma with subtle roast. Medium body only, dark, dry roast and a bitter finish. Very British meaning I need some bette hops and a more distinct malt profile. 030612

Leighton (22769) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - DEC 25, 2013
Draft at GBBF 2013 - London. Pours black with a creamy tan head. Lovely stuff, lots of creamy chocolate, moderate alcohol, well roasted malts. Full bodied with fine carbonation. Sweet finish but not cloying with more chocolate character and roasty malts. Rich and tasty.
