Pours a dark reddish brown with a thin off white head. Aroma is seedy raspberry, hay, a bit of chocolate and sweet malt. Flavor is more seedy raspberry, light acidity, dark wheat, a touch of dry chocolate and earth. Palate is medium bodied, moderately carbonated and has a fairly dry feel throughout. Not bad overall, but like most raspberry beers it tastes as much like raspberry seeds as raspberry flesh. jcwattsrugger (12418) - Florida and, New Jersey, USA - FEB 6, 2012
on tap-pours amber with an offwhite head. Aroma is raspberry, medium malt. Taste is raspberry, medium malt-some roasty. Towards medium body. beaz1591 (238) - Omaha, Nebraska, USA - DEC 13, 2011
On tap. Poured a dark amber color with virtually no head, looked more like wine than beer. Suprising taste, reminded me of a chocolate covered raspberry. I wouldn’t want to drink a bunch of these but one was good. heemer77 (5355) - Urbandale, Iowa, USA - JUN 23, 2011
Deep hazy red light brown body. It has a large khaki head. The nose is sweet with the raspberries and hints of tart. There is also some black tea. The taste is black tea with hints of caramel. There is just a whiff of the dry raspberries. This is strange and dry. Barely any fruit character. adnielsen (10601) - Fort Collins, Colorado, USA - MAR 26, 2011
On tap @ Court Avenue. Reddish amber appearance with an off white head. Slight red fruity with a darkish Belgian ale aroma. Raspberry, light tartness with light candy sugar Belgian ale flavor. Not very impressive. It sounds like a weird blend anyways.

Tap. Semi hazy dark amber pour with a clingy white head. Mild sour raspberry on the nose. Taste is a nice combo of sour and Belgian yeast, with a little fig in there. Easy drinking. Nice. CanIHave4Beers (4184) - Pouring Bus, Iowa, USA - MAR 15, 2010
100th Iowa rating, whoot! Pours a hazy burgundy color with a medium head. The aroma is fresh raspberries with some earthiness and some sweet maltiness. The flavor is very good, earthy with plenty of tartness. There is a lot of raspberry flavor but not in a cloying way they work really well with the earthiness. There is some alcohol & the beer is generally dry. Really nice stuff.
