Draft at the brew pub. Clear reddish-orange color. Thinnest of thin off white head which didn’t leave any lace. Aroma was of very weak brown sugar and nothing else. Tasted of lightly toasted bread. There was also a fruity note, kind of like grape candy and some cherry. Dry with delicate bitterness at the end. Eh, not my bag. heemer77 (5358) - Urbandale, Iowa, USA - DEC 27, 2006
On tap at the brewpub. The body was hazy dark brown and rust colored beer. This was topped with a thin white head. The aroma had malty caramel with some fresh bread. There was also a little bit of pancake syrup. The taste had some dry wood and cinnamon. There was also some toffee. This was nicely done. Braudog (6719) - Yorktown, Virginia, USA - FEB 27, 2005
Super dark, reddish brown with a beige head. Robust cooked caramel aroma. Sweet finish. Good warmer. JPDIPSO (6223) - Wauwatosa, USA - FEB 20, 2003
Bark brown color with a smaller light tan head. Some lace. Dark and dry malt flavors dominate and carry through and linger. An interesting brew that seems so lure you to have some more.
