Bottle. Pours hazy gold with a white head. Natural strawberry aroma, lightly sweet. The flavor has natural strawberry notes with a hint of tartness. A plain malty base allows the fruit to feature, with no real added sweetness. Surprisingly good. ronaldtheriot (1978) - Laplace, Louisiana, USA - JUL 23, 2013
Covington Brewhouse Strawberry Ale has a thin, fizzy white head and a hazy, yellow-golden appearance, with juice pulp present throughout. Lacing is thin. There are lots of little, tight bubble streams with this one. Aroma is of bready, strawberry juice, and the flavor is the same, with a sugar background and a citrus acidity. No bitterness is detected. The mouthfeel is medium to heavy, and Covington Brewhouse Strawberry Ale finishes mostly dry, somewhat crisp, sweet, and fairly refreshing. Overall, for a fruit beer, it’s very good. RJT BelgianBeerGal (4138) - Panama City, Florida, USA - MAR 5, 2016
Bottle from Rouse’s Market. Pours a cloudy straw color with a thin white head that lasts. Very nice aroma of meaty strawberries, cream and a hint of vanilla. Nice flavor too with some strawberries plus a hint of cream again.Very pleasant. jzzbassman (1638) - Arlington, Texas, USA - MAR 17, 2012
Pours a hideous murky yellow with zero head, but the aroma and flavor of real strawberry make it worth it. Nice hint of fresh strawberry, not overly ripe/ sweet and doesn’t have as much of that fruit cereal artificial sweetness in the Abita version.

Pours hazy gold with little head. Real strawberry aroma and flavor, blessedly not overly sweet. Or even very sweet at all, leaning more toward tart. Not bad at all! kramer (6682) - Sunbury, Pennsylvania, USA - MAR 25, 2012
Tap. Pours a slightly murky and hazy pink tinged body with a frothy white head lhat looks like it actually looks like it has bits of strawberry in it. The nose is pretty well all strawberry, and it really smells like natural fruit. Surprised to actually like the aroma. The flavor reminds me of not-quite-ripe strawberries. Pretty nice, it doesnt taste fake or artificial like most strawberry beers I’ve had. Its not overly sweet either, just a light maltiness below the fruit. Lighter bodied but with a certain soft almost creamy texture to it and soft fizzy carbonation. This was surprisingly good, and the overall best beer that I had from Heiner Brau. Pale and slightly hazy in the glass. The nose is fresh strawberries. The beer starts smooth, mild, slightly yeasty. In the mainpart there is a subtle strawberry-flavour, that gets more intense till the end, and that is natural and not too sweet. Very smooth. The aftertaste is a bit short, but nice smooth, creamy (like the cream-ale) and with nice natural strawberry aroma. tmongoose (2504) - Louisville, Kentucky, USA - AUG 15, 2015
A very nice, smooth and easy-to-drink fruit beer. --> 12/13/12/12
bottle shared that poured a cloudy yellow with a white head that doesn’t last very long. the aroma is a definite cream ale with strawberry puree or juice added. the flavor is more of the same and I understand this is served on draft with nitro. which to me would make it more like a strawberry cream lifesaver. not bad and not great just kind of a middle of the road cream ale with strawberries. dylandownsouth (12) - - OCT 27, 2011
Decent fruit beer. Had on tap at local pub. Kind of tart strawberry ale instead of sweet, which I liked. Really good natural tasting strawberry notes. One critique would have to be the slight hind of peanut in the malt profile. The taste of the strawberry was very good and this would go well with spicy seafood!
