courtesy of Oliver Bieri - opaque dark black coloured with a firm and long lasting beige foam; fairly toasted nose with notes of ashes and bacon; moderate malt body, very creamy palate, tart and slightly acidic; moderately dry, creamy and toasted malty finish with weird notes of vegetables - something looks wrong to me here thewolf (12594) - Kolding, DENMARK - JUL 30, 2009

Scored a bottle of this while in Rhodes. I love schwarzbiers and this was a pretty good one. Pours a translucent black (surprise) with a thin white head. Aroma is a little absent though, some light toast, maybe a little faint coffee, a touch nutty. Flavor was nice though, nutty, malty, bready, crackers, biscuits and a little bit of toast. Not much hop presence to speak of. Finish was dry and crisp. I enjoyed this quite a bit. Hermod (7848) - Vantaa, FINLAND - SEP 26, 2011
33c bottle from Supermarket in Platanias, Crete. BBE 10/2011. Poured dark brown with a beige head. Aroma is roasted malt, some chocolate and coffee as well. Flavor has roasted malt and coffee. Dry finish, lots of coffee that stays for long. Thin body, but overall a nice schwarzbier. ogivlado (7810) - Zagreb, CROATIA - SEP 23, 2004
