Sampled draught at Craft, Athens, Greece. -the best Craft beer, black coloured, minimal brown head, light coffee aroma with nice chocolate notes Nightfall (1307) - Hamburg, GERMANY - JUL 4, 2005
UPDATED: JUL 28, 2009 One of the six beers that Craft produces (Craft is a fine Microbrewery that also has 2 Brewpub Restaurants in Athens). Very good schwarzbier, the best that craft makes. Brown shallow head. Full taste with chocolate, smoke, coffee and roasted malt as dominant flavors and aromas. A great beer that I love to consume on a regular basis. The tap version is way better than the bottle. Oakes (19434) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - JUN 6, 2001
UPDATED: AUG 6, 2011 Dark brown with a tan head. Figgy, raisiny aroma with light chocolate notes. Sweet and earthy, with dark sugary notes. Burnt plum and raisin, nice character. Balanced, smooth and slightly chewy. Good schwarzbier. WISEGUY572 (1377) - Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA - JUL 22, 2008
Almost black, not opaque, with reddish tones, good head, great lace. Nose of coffee, chocolate, and smoke. Taste of sweet malts, burnt malts, caramel, burnt coffee, chocolate. Mouth average ... it is, after all, a lager.

[bottle at RBESG 2009, Grand Tasting]
Weak aroma of toasted almonds and smoke. Clear red-brown under tan bubbles. Tons of caramel in the flavour along with lots of toastiness and only detectable hops. Light to medium body clean finish, if a bit smoky. mabel (10003) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - JUN 28, 2007
[322-20070525] Tap @ Craft (Athens). Sweet malty coffee aroma. Dark brown red body with a quick white head. Sweet molasses toffee cream flavour. Medium-full body is creamy. Expecting thicker but smooth and silky was great. KnutAlbert (6798) - Oslo, NORWAY - APR 18, 2008
Draft at the brewpub in Athens.
Dark with a golden glow. Beige head.
A whiff of smoke, a little liquorice. Coffee, burned toast.
Easy drinking and refreshing, but with full flavour. The Greeks don’t make them better than this! davidm (2081) - Sunnyvale, California, USA - AUG 12, 2011
Bottle 330ml. Tasty, but not robust. Aromas of burnt caramel, cola, with hints of chocolate. Taste is sweet, with light bitterness, and average length. Palate is oily, with a thin-to-medium body. Dark brown, the head doesn’t last. King_Beer (6) - Athens, GREECE - SEP 24, 2013 does not count
