Draft at Tiger! Tiger! Pitch black with a tight, creamy tan head with fantastic staying power. Aroma is mostly balsamic acidity and cherries with subtle underlying roast. Very smooth, well-incorporated flavor profile: tart cherries, vinegar, vinous oak, green apple, cocoa nibs, blackberry jam. Coffee only shows up just after the finish, as a kick of soft, nutty beans. The body is outstanding, delivering the flavor in a creamy, pillow-soft package. >> On tap as "El Prieto, sour barrel aged brown ale aged in American Oak barrels 8.6%". Seems like it could be a new entry, but rating it here. Clear deep red pour with excellent lacing for style. Flemish red nose with acetic acid, balsamic vinegar. Taste is softer than expected, lightly salty, flash of balsamic vinegar, mouth watering. Quite good. Should be under Sour Red/Brown for style.
Dark beer some dark raisins plum. Sourness comes through on first sip. Pretty enjoyable balanced with different sour characteristics. Had a while ago. Got from my notes.
