I expected something similar to Cascade Vine and got a beer that was way different for better and worse, kind of like a tarted up quad with more complex fruity notes than just pure grape juice. Curious.

Reddish brown in color thin head. Nice Sour aroma and flavor. Big fruit like finish this as a very tasty sour dry ale. I was impressed.

Draft. Reddish purple pour with an off white head. Definitely a lot of grapes in this. Red wine grapes, sweet grape juice, light earthiness, and mildly tart. Too sweet for my taste, with moderate sourness. Decent.

On tap. Pours with a clearish red hued body with a white head. Aromas of grapes, jammy, merlot, peppery, funk and brett. Flavors are fruity, estery, sour. Lots of funk and red wine, grapes. Strawberry and jammy. A bit of manure. Dry with medium carbonation.

Tap at the Tripel in Playa Del Rey. Purple pour. Basically the color of cabernet. Sour aroma. Taste of sour cabernet. High carbonation. This is really a good sour. Reminded me a lot of Consecration.

Pours a reddish purple. Aroma is a combination of wine and concord grapes. Taste is tart and very sparkly in the palate. Big grape taste throughout.

A: The beer pours a purple-red sort of color with a fizzy off-white head. S: Smells very much like grapes. Almost like Welch’s grape juice. Quite sweet and sugary with only a mild tartness. There is a light mustiness and a little bit of grass and lemon. T: Sligtly metallic up front followed by a light tartness. Still tons of grape character to it and some of the same sweetness that was on the nose. Still a bit grape juice-like, a little too much so for my tastes. M: medium bodied with carbonation on the low end of medium. O: A little better than Cabernale, but could have used a lot more tartness.
