Orange with a white head. Aroma is full of dark fruit and caramel malt, about what I expect from a dubbel. The flavor is similar. I get a lot of dark fruit as well as some candy sugar and Belgian yeast. There is also some grass as well as a little bit of alcohol. Medium mouthfeel and medium carbonation. jrob21 (3874) - Atlanta, Georgia, USA - JUL 3, 2012

Draft. Clear deep copper with a small thin ring of foam. Aromas of spicy, earthy toffee, plum and a hint of butterscotch. Flavor is similar with some toast and a hint of sour cocoa. Bittersweet finish of wood, clove and dark fruity bubblegum. Medium body has low carbonation, shows some alcohol, and is to the sweet side. Originally reviewed: 1/15/11. Super excited to see this new one at City Beverage the other week. Picked up a bottle. I’ve sampled some from these guys at different brewfests around the area, but this is first "sit-down" beer of theirs. I think this might be the first of theirs they bottle??
16oz swingtop bottle poured into a snifter. Pours a hazy sunset-orange with the thinnest of lacy sheets on top. No lace left behind. The nose is tart and yeasty with notes of sawdust, a bit of an ethanol burn on the finish. Some banana notes as well.
The mouth on this one is standout. Many of the style can overly spritz and leave the palate a little worn out. This beer has plenty of carbonation, but the bubbles dissipate quickly leaving a smooth mellow finish. Belgian yeast-y flavors right away, but this gives way to pale fruits like mushy pear and old apple. A forgettable finish, as this beer leaves no trace. Very clean ending. Drinkable beer though, no doubt. I don’t usually reach for this style often, but nice to know I’ve got a good local one I can grab when I’ve got the itch. illinismitty (2377) - Nashville, Tennessee, USA - APR 22, 2012
Draft at the Pharmacy. Pours a hazy orange with a thin white head. Bold bananna bubble gum aroma. Medium bodied with average carbonation. Very wheaty malt backbone, with flavors of banana, clove, and Belgian candi sugar. Average attenuation, perhaps leaning toward the sweet side. Phenolic finish that distracts a tad. Very summer esque, and not what I typically think of when drinking a dubbel.

Draft. Pours amber with an off white head. Light sweet malty aroma with fruity notes and light spicy yeast. The flavor has light spicy yeasty notes, and fruity banana like sweetness on a toasted malty base. Pretty good. kp (10880) - Woodstock, Georgia, USA - DEC 25, 2011
