COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Bottled, regular
Each year on their own farm in the rolling hills of Co. Wicklow, the Garden of Ireland, Craigies Cider use the finest Irish apples to make a cider that reflects the individual characteristics of both the apples themselves as well as the seasonal variations of each vintage. This Ballyhook Flyer blend is made from Dabinett, Katy and Bramley apples. It is dry and elegant and possesses both fruit and savoury flavours which are prolonged on the palate by it’s natural freshness. We recommend drinking it with pork or poultry dishes, fine cheeses or of course simply on it’s own.

Just delicious. Commercial ciders are all so sweet. This is dry and tastes of apples.

Bottle from the Good Spirits Co Wine & Beer. Pours dark gold, not quite crystal clear, quite frothy, quickly settling to no head. Nose is quite quiet, mainly ripe dessert apples. Taste is good: dry, with sharpness and very decent tannins. Like the nose, lots of ripe dessert apple flavour. Palate is decent - but very much improved by a bit of hard cheese. If I could give a With Food / Without Food rating for the palate, I’d score it higher on With Food.

Pours golden and cloudy, fairly murky with a cream head round the edge of the glass. Nose is sweet honey and syrupy. Taste is apply, a little sour and very dry. Ok.

Draft - Funky, Apple vinegar. Clear gold with big bubbles. Tons of funky animal notes and a light apple finish. Funky, weird and awesome. Nice acidity.

Draft. Not a bad one, semi-dry, some earthiness, tartish apple, really easy-going.

Bottle purchased at Johnny in Rome-Italy. Consumed in Serbia at the Christmas Eve. Pours hazy orangey color, gassy white head lowering in a blink. Nose: Apple pulp, a bit winey, wine must, cellar. Mouth: frizzy start, sparkling vinous notes, a bit sour apple orientation. Nice execution on the sour side. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
