COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
William Ray’s blacksmith shop became a landmark in the lost township founded on the Santa Fe Trail. Just as a blacksmith forges metal, we forge new trails in brewing. Connecting old traditions to modern ones and beyond. Our classic farmhouse Saison is crisp, refreshing, and perfect for whatever of life’s trails you are on.

12 oz bottle purchased as a single at Lukas Liquors in Overland Park, Kansas. The pour is a slight haze orange golden with a foamy ½ inch white head. Nice fine carbonation bubbles rise to the surface. The aroma is fruit clove yeast, with a bit of lemon and grain earthiness. The taste is traditional Saison yeast character, with a hint of the fruit and clove from the nose, the malt, wheat grain and soft earthiness carry the back. The palate is medium bodied, natural carbonation and a grain and mineral finish. Solid.

UPDATED: OCT 21, 2017 On tap at conrads. Thick, cloudy, unfiltered yellow pour. Taste begins straw and gives way to a mild fruit that i cant put my finger on. Definately bready feel and on par with another KC classic, Tank 7.

UPDATED: AUG 19, 2017 On draft at the brewery. Aroma 8/10: yeast and apricot esters Appearance 3/5: opaque golden orange, small bubbly head Palate 4 /5: heavily carbonated, bright and bubbly mouthfeel Taste 7/10: peach and apricot initially, finishes dry with an almost champagne like quality. Overall 17/20: bright, citrusy, and dry. Not as yeasty as a lot of farmhouse Ales but I'm ok with that. Final: 3.9
